How much will CheckPoint's® credentials verification services cost my organization? |
Cost is determined by various factors, including the standards requested, choice of approved methodologies, scope of credentials management services selected, turnaround time requested, and size of operation. |
What is the turnaround time for CheckPoint's credentials verification services? |
Turnaround time is less than half the time allowed by NCQA or JCAHO for CVOs to complete their work. Our average turnaround time for verification of managed care files is approximately 28 days. Turnaround time for verification of hospital work is approximately 45 working days. |
Does CheckPoint have NCQA certification? |
Yes, CheckPoint has maintained continuous NCQA Certification since the inception of the NCQA program in 1996. |
Can CheckPoint provide web-based electronic credentialing application forms? |
Yes. Practitioners can access a blank standardized application form that has all of the data blanks required to complete a fully verified application or re-application through CheckPoint's web site. |
What if I work in a state that has a mandated credentialing application form? |
CheckPoint will continue to provide paper credentialing application gathering services in addition to our online application services. We can also receive completed credentialing applications via fax service. |
Does CheckPoint utilize electronic databases to verify information? |
CheckPoint uses all approved electronic databases to promote faster turnaround times. However, CheckPoint clients may also determine methodologies of verification, including using a direct primary source in a mail format, if required. |
Can CheckPoint provide electronic data transmissions? Can the data be uploaded into my organization's computer system? |
CheckPoint can provide data in Excel or Access. Uploading data directly into an alien computer system can be difficult, however your I.S. support staff can generally use an Access database format and create a protocol to enable the upload to work with your system. |
Can clients access the CheckPoint database to check on the status of practitioners whose credentialing verification is "in process?" |
Clients can access a checklist via the web, with appropriate security passwords, to see the progress of a given practitioner's credentialing application. |
